Set up the lock, about 5 minutes

1. Turn on Guided Access. Settings → Accessibility → Guided Access → On.
2. Set a passcode. Guided Access → Passcode Settings → Set Guided Access Passcode, and turn on Face ID. Set Display Auto-Lock to Never.
3. Triple-click goes straight to the lock. Settings → Accessibility → Accessibility Shortcut → only Guided Access checked.
4. Make the Baby Lock shortcut. Shortcuts app → + → Open App: Baby Mode, Wait: 1 second, Start Guided Access. Name it "Baby Lock".
5. Turn on Voice Control. Settings → Accessibility → Voice Control → On. Keep Attention Aware off.
6. Add your command. Voice Control → Commands → Create New Command. Phrase: "Lock into Baby Mode". Action: Run Shortcut → Baby Lock. Check it doesn't say "(null)", then Save.
7. Check the lock's options once. In Baby Mode, triple-click the side button → Options: Touch on, Side Button off, Time Limit off. Tap Done, then Start.
8. Babyproof the lock screen. Settings → Face ID & Passcode → Allow Access When Locked: turn off everything except Siri. Make sure Erase Data is off.

Baby grabs your phone? Say "Lock into Baby Mode," or tap the padlock in "mode" on this screen. The padlock clicks shut and a green Locked pill appears.

Done playing? Triple-click the side button and use your passcode or Face ID. Hold the top-left circle for 2 seconds to come back here.

Family faces

Add the people your baby loves. Each face is cut out and set on a bright color, then floats and plays peekaboo on the Faces lock screen, with their hello when your baby finds them.
