Privacy

The short version: Baby Mode doesn't collect, share or sell anything. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking. Family photos and voice recordings stay on your device and are never uploaded.

What the app collects

Nothing. Baby Mode doesn't send any information about you, your child or your device to us or to anyone else. It works fully offline.

Family faces

If you choose to add family faces, Baby Mode asks for access to your camera, your photo library or your microphone, only when you tap to add a photo or record a hello.

You can turn off camera, photo or microphone access at any time in your device's Settings.

Settings

Your choices like sound, vibration and your last lock screen are saved on your device so the app remembers them. They never leave your device.

Children's privacy

Baby Mode is made for young children to play with while a grown-up is nearby. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children. The family faces settings are meant for parents and sit behind a press-and-hold button on the home screen.

Third parties

Baby Mode has no ads, no analytics, no social features and no links to websites. The only thing it ever opens is your own Baby Lock shortcut in Apple's Shortcuts app, when you tap the padlock. No third-party code in the app collects data.

This website

babymode.app doesn't use cookies or analytics. The playable demo runs in your browser and doesn't save or send anything.

The waitlist. If you join the waitlist, we save your email address and the date you signed up. We use it only to tell you when Baby Mode launches and and to send your free code. We never sell or share it. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or email hello@babymode.app and we'll delete it. Signups are stored with Cloudflare, which hosts this site.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
